Items Exchange Bulletin Board

Started a new site for foreigners in Japan, Korea or overseas somewhere. It's a non-bidding site where people can put things up that they have for sale...legal things that is. Requests are also welcome. There are plenty of bidding sites but that takes too long and is a pain with people with whom you don't trust...and well they might be very far from you. So this site is separated by regions so you can find someone near you to eliminate shipping, meet them face to face in an open space and make the exchange. There is no cost to register or use the site. It is in the beta stage but is fully functional and live. Please pass the word! Site link is

Going to or from Narita airport and want to freshen up?

Did you know they have shower rooms and day rooms at Narita airport for rent? The shower cubicle as they call it is available for rent. The cost is 500 yen per half an hour, not too bad considering you get to use their towel, soap, shampoo, conditioner and hair dryer! The day room which comes with bed and shower is only 1000 yen (single) per hour and depending on the size, costs half the price every extra hour. Not a bad deal especially if you don't want to smell like major B.O. and there are some out there who need it more than others...especially those who smell like chicken soup >_>; Check it out! Here's the link.

Happy (B.O. free) travels!

Travelling by bus in the Hokuriku...Kanazawa to Tokyo and back.

So want to visit Tokyo or are going to Narita Airport? Well you have 3 choices for buses. 1. JR buses...expensive 2. Hokutetsu highway buses, also expensive 3. Willer Express / Star Express buses. I just found out about #3 today and it was about 2300yen cheaper! Plus if you book more than one seat, you get 50yen off for each additional one (bulk savings lol). The website link is below...and it's offered in English, Japanese, Korean and Chinese. They also give you the option of paying with a credit card or at a convenient store. :) The only bad thing is that from Kanazawa they only go to Tokyo so you need to take another line to get to the other parts of Japan. :(

Good place for a burger near Kanazawa train station

So...for those of you who are craving a good burger and are too lazy to make one yourself, this is for you. :)

Next to the Kanazawa station (金沢駅) you will find the Forus shopping mall/building. On the 7th floor (where the movie theater is) you will find yourself a little eatery called デリカフェ&バー C.C. (Deli cafe & bar C.C., 営業時間 [operating hours] : 11:00~24:00 ラストオーダー [last order] 23:30). Here you can get a nice burger w/ or w/o cheese, fries, coleslaw and a drink for less than 8-900 yen! Great deal for Japan.

For those that like beer, they also have a beer garden during the summer months.

Here's a picture of the set. I forgot to take a pic before I started to eat >_<;

1st post...

Well this is my second attempt at a blog. The first one on FB didn't go so well and it is limited to only those on FB. This will basically be a blog on what you can see in Kanazawa, Ishikawa (石川県金沢市). It will mainly be geared towards foreigners wanting to visit.

If there is a growing interest, I have a "list" of parking places that are cheap and near Katamachi (片町), the main area to have a good time.

I will be doing some reviews of places I like to go for some good eats.

I will also put up some info and pictures of events and things that are going on around town.

And of course any comments and recommendations are welcome. Oh and in regards to the comments...if you can't say something nice, keep it to yourself.

Cheers!
